A Sweet Fête {Emily & John}

Emily is a snazzy blog writer and owner of a darling Etsy shop chocked full of vintage goodies. She’s also just a dear with more than a hint of sass  – my kind of chic! I had the privilege of providing her and John with their wedding flowers this past weekend and got to work with some of my favorite vendors in the process: Mao of Four Inch Fold Vintage Rentals and Dana of Zest Atlanta – a marvelous collection if I do say so myself!

Oh! And their main photographer, Whitney Huynh kicked photog butt with her gorgeous, gorgeous images!!

See what I mean???

Crème de la Crème {Carmen & Josh}

Let me start out by saying Carmen is a cutie. A bonafide born n’ bred Georgia girl with a contagious smile that clearly her new hubby, Josh, melts for.  Their wedding took place in Winder, Georgia this past October and was overflowing with cream and white flowers, touches of pink, gathered objects, homemade cakes, and personal elements galore.

It was terribly difficult to pick out a sampling of images because these images (that are so yummy – yes, pictures can be yummy) are gorgeous. They were captured by Mandy Busby Photography who I cannot recommend enough – she is a darling and so amazing at what she does.

Destin-ation {Brad & Noelle}

I’m diggin’ destination weddings right now…

Brad and Noelle’s wedding was over a year ago, but I’ve been dying to show it off for a number of reasons: 1) It was in Destin, Florida so it’s the perfect homage to summertime. 2) Noelle chose very bold colors and, just in case you haven’t picked up on this yet, I adore bold colors.  3) Noelle, Brad, and their families were just precious and you can feel their connected-ness and support when you’re with them and in their photos (by MichelleMariePhotography) and that is worth showing off a bit!

The Color Purple {Neela & Brian}

I have wanted to design an India-inspired wedding for years. I’m not being dramatic (well, not more than normal) when I say years. I have been to India once and if someone told me I could go again tomorrow for free, I would jump on it.  So, when I first met Neela one lovely afternoon in March at Star Provisions  and she told me she wanted to honor her heritage with an Indian infused, light-filled, yet modern wedding I was immediately ecstatic!  The fact that she’s sassy and fabulous was like the cherry on top!

My favorite thing from our planning process was visiting a couple of saree shops to purchase the saree panels we hung throughout the space at Summerour Studio. We had a blast and I definitely enjoyed watching Neela bargain like a champ.

Oh, I also want to acknowledge the amazing images by Ardent Story Photography – just beautiful – for more photos go here.

(A fun fact: the green and yellow-ish striped plant coming out of the lanterns is called “Song of India.” So there, learn somethin’ new every day…)

Spring in your Step {Kathy & Roland}

This beautiful little church wedding was at the peak season for spring flowers which was such a treat. Anemones, Hyacinths, Ranunculus – all the flowers that make me grin like a little school girl were in bloom. And, seeing as it is ‘hot as Hades’ outside in Georgia today, I thought it would be the perfect time to reflect on the coolness of spring and start longing for it again.

Best wishes to this sweet couple – they were a joy to work with and a breeze to design for!
